I found out about that movie on an Instagram reel with the caption: "they don't make films like that anymore" and now I wanna watch every single film like that.

Yes Todd I belive his father did it, but you know what...he was dead as well, maybe even more dead that he didn't know he was. It was that Neil tasted how was it to be himself, once and for all, that he knew how death looks like...so he chose that he would rather "die"...I am more sorry for Neil's father.
The scene was so subtle and slow my heart was beating the clock and then...dead silence to the end of the movie.
They only want to put Another Brick In The Wall...
