This movies message is actually really beautiful. I've yet to meet a human who's been able to escape any form of pain. Often times our inability to make decisions is fueled by a fear of getting hurt. "My old ass" highlights the real tragedy to be missing out on a beautiful experience due to fears of abandonment or heartbreak. How cowardly... I hope we don't strive to be cowards. We have much to learn from our younger self, a less restricted version of what we've become.
