definitely love the vibe of the 90s in this one; finding love in a bookshop is truly a romantic trope. i just found anna (julia roberts) to be quite an annoying character, although given that she's an actress and there are boundaries to be dealt with in her situation, it feels like she was such a user to william (hugh grant). she just pops in whenever she wants something from him, it's amazing how his characters stays patient with her. lol. although not totally unbelievable on his part as idk, love could make anyone crazy I guess lol
was expecting a different insight into the disaster (as they stated it's fiction based on real events), gave it a shot all throughout but found it utterly confusing. the first few minutes are a drag, contributes nothing to the story. then midway it jumps into talks with technicalities, then drama, splash of heroic moments or whatnot and it goes back and forth. it's confusing what the movie really wants to focus on.
if you want to watch how the disaster really went down (atleast with more accurate portrayal), this ain't it - better see the HBO series instead.
