  Why is the entire middle third of the film an alleyway fight? Why does this have one of the most grating scores I've heard? Why is the acting so abysmal?
  I don't know, but I can't say it doesn't work on some level.

  There's something incredibly offputing about this whole thing. From the woeful miscasting of the two leads, to the strange enclosed setpieces for the musical numbers, it kind of just made me uncomfortable.

  the more I mull this film over, the more I like it. It's kind of impressive how developed the dynamic between the two mains is considering the 75 minute runtime - it felt like I'd been with them for longer. Just bleak and brutal but fairly captivating.

  This film had zero point to it. I thought it was going somewhere and then it completely 180ed in the last 10 minutes and left me questioning why the whole thing was even made. Obviously this might have been a constraint of the format; a 45 minute tv 'special' but even then I can't help but question the purpose, when I've seen the same topics touched on a lot more respectfully. Overall a waste of a pretty decent British cast.
