Now tell me why Lucas Neff isn’t listed as one of the leading members of cast in this show on Letterboxd. He needs more roles like this and the moustache is mandatory. Really though, every single actor and actress in this show was perfect and completely embodied their characters. More shows like this please! But I might need to take a week for my soul to recover because that shit was bleak.

Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father 2008
This film single handedly broke me. The cruelty and the complete loss of all hope I’d experienced in the hour and a half of watching it made me feel like I had just come out of a sickening fever dream except, unfortunately, it’s all true. I can’t not recommend this film though, and you really do have to go into it blindly, just be sure to look after yourself afterwards because it will absolutely kill a piece of your soul.

An accurate representation of the impact of medical trauma on new mothers and how susceptible it leaves you to the extreme other end of the spectrum to regain control. A compelling and poignant film, with Driver’s incredible acting forcing you to take on Jude’s sense of overwhelming dread, growing more intense with every scene. Alba Rohrwacher does a brilliant job of being both villainous and a loving mother all at once.
