    Barely ★★★.

"Tag" is the kind of movie that you watch out of boredom if you're not quite ready for a proper film. It's basically "Game Night" Lite™.

The cast is excellent, and the comedy is definitely quite a bit above average. The big problem though, is the plot. It's quite frankly undercooked, unstructured, and soaked thoroughly with clichés. Also the B-story is garbage, and doesn't get resolved, and the film tries to pull off stuff that is immensely absurd even for a comedy movie.

It IS very funny though. I'll give it that. Overall its decent. . . kind of.

    Ocean's Eight

    ★★★

Being the all-female spin-off of the Ocean's franchise, "Ocean's 8" is just another drop into the bottomless pit of mediocre films. The movie follows Debbie Ocean, an ex-convict, who, suprise suprise is the sister of Danny Ocean. She is paroled from prison, and has hatched a plan to steal the Toussaint, a $150 million necklace from the infamous Met Gala. She finds a crew of seven, and the heist may begin.

Right off the bat, I want to say that…

Really liked it. Super funny. Amazingly well shot, edited and coreographed fight scenes. Also the meta commetary totally made up for the sometimes weak plot. Vfx were good but looked a bit cheap at times. Personally liked the first one a bit better overall, but this one was awesome as well. Definitely recommend.

Holy shite. After watching Baby Driver and now this, I think Edgar Wright might be my new favourite director. The amount of visual cleverness is off the charts, and isn't even once pretentious or boring. Also, it was hilarious. I loved how the comedy often didn't rely just on dialogue, but was also heavily supported by the visuals. Loved every second of it.
