The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2023
So it’s pretty good.
I definitely wish it was atleast a little longer so the scenes and ideas had more time to breathe, and i think it could’ve had a better script, but the characters and story were translated pretty well.
The art style, animation, editing, sound design, cinematography, and especially the score were exquisite, and the references aren’t as in your face as some would say, just nice touches for the most part.

I think that it’s okay. It’s cute.
But I don’t think it’s the cinematic masterpiece says it is.
The beginning is annoying. And not in a good self-aware way like you’d think, more in an “I’d be embarrassed if the people stared at me the way the people in-universe do” way.
