The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie

    ★★★½

This one’s a blast. Classic Looney Tunes chaos all the way through. The animation’s clean, sometimes downright bewildering in the best way. Eric Bauza crushes it, keeping the characters feeling fresh without losing what made them work in the first place.

The background art? Gorgeous. Looks like it was lifted right out of an old Saturday morning cartoon. The movie even plays with that a bit, shifting the aspect ratio and dropping in little nods to a simpler time. It…

  • Nosferatu

    Nosferatu

    ★★★½

Robert Eggers has a distinct style, and Nosferatu is no exception. I wasn’t completely sold on his reimagining of the Count at first, but Bill Skarsgård’s performance is masterful, he brings him to life in a way that lingers.

It’s not a scary film, more strange and mythical, almost like a dark fable. The production design is fantastic, every frame dripping with atmosphere, but at times, it feels like more focus was put on the look than the substance.

Still, there’s something undeniably haunting about it. 3.5 out of 5 shadow fingers.

Took a bit to hook me, but once it did, I was all in. The first half kind of drifts, setting things up, but then it clicks—and suddenly, it’s gripping.

Anora (or Ani) is a force—tough as hell, always thinking ahead, and never fully outmatched. She knows how to fight back, but she also knows when to use charm, her body, whatever it takes. What’s interesting is that, for all her sharp instincts, she still puts her trust in the…

    What Dreams May Come

    ★★★★½

This movie isn’t everyone’s cup but it sure is mine. It deals with themes of death, grief, the afterlife, suicide. Not a light watch but an amazing experience with masterclass performances by Robin Williams and the rest of the cast.
