American Fiction 2023
This was a pretty good film. Jeffery Wright is a terrific actor and he is surrounded by a cast that handles Dramedy well. It was silly at times, but the character development really contrasted well with the absurdity of parts of the storyline.

This was a pretty funny movie. It is a nice change to see female protagonists in this sort of movie. Beanie Feldstein Is hilarious- I thought she was a lot like Jonah Hill and just found out that he is really her brother. The little things like doing the NYT crossword add a lot.

It was ok. I haven’t read the book, so I don’t know how in line each character is with the book vs movie. Curious if this adaptation is considered the best or just in the middle compared to the other movies.

Oppenheimer 2023
Cillian Murphy was terrific, as was the rest of the cast. It didn’t feel super long. I feel like there was a lot of character development, although Oppenheimer’s mistress (Florence Pugh) was a bit one dimensional.
