Often when I hear criticism of this movie it’s on the inappropriate relationship between Elio and Oliver. But this isn’t a love story. Oliver is not in love with Elio he’s a predatory man who took advantage of a 17 year old to live in his fantasies of being able to be free in his sexuality. Which is a tragedy in itself. Everything Everywhere All at Once 2022
There is no peace in the ‘what could have beens’ that’s what I took from this movie. The cinematography was absolutely brilliant. Acting was phenomenal. The realistic depiction of the pressures that come with being a daughter of a first gen immigrant parent was so realistic and extremely well done. Amazing movie.
