Watched this in Film as Lit class. Generally, I’m not a huge fan of film noir but this was one was palatable. The reverse chronological plot structure was very cool and unique. Definitely one of those mind-bending films that you have to watch multiple times. However, I thought the twist that Sammy didn’t exist and Sammy’s story was actually Leonard’s story was pretty predictable (because what are the odds that two characters in a movie have the same rare memory condition?). Also who is Teddy??? Overall, I thought it was a very interesting film—I just think I would’ve enjoyed it more if I understood it.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest 1975
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Watched this in Film as Lit class. I was absent the final day we watched it and had to find out by my teacher that McMurphy got lobotomized WHAT. AND THEN CHIEF BROMDEN SUFFOCATES HIM???? Anyways incredible performance by Jack Nicholson. Initially thought it was just a funny and unserious film but quickly realized it had deeper meanings. Definitely broadened my perspective on how mental illness was treated decades ago. Lastly, F*%K NURSE RATCHED wanted to brush out the little curled front pieces of her hair so bad omg.

The Holdovers 2023
Watched this with my family on Christmas. The couch wasn’t big enough for all of us and i was stuck in the crack so I was initially in a pretty poor mood. But I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by this film. Loved all of Mr. Hunham's remarks especially the greek mythology ones that I could understand. Couldn’t decide if I was or wasn’t attracted to Angus but I think I am!! Overall a very silly and heartfelt story, and congrats to Da’Vine Joy Randolph on the Oscar incredible performance.
