Well that was a musical alright. A little bit of a disgrace to the original I hate to say it. Let’s break down the characters. Cady: terrible. I’m sure she’s such a nice person but I cannot stand that actress, sorry. It just didn’t hit. Regina: she kinda ate. I absolutely believed she was a mean girl. She did her job. Her outfits were bad though, and on that note all of the outfits were bad bad bad. Janice: worst…

What to say about salt burn? The plot twisted and liars lied. That guy gave me the heebie jeebies from the beginning, I never liked the look of him. Surprised that Ollie didn’t try to f%#{ the dad as well. I also am in love with Jacob Elordi, but you’d never catch me acting THAT feral over a man. Another review said Ollie should be neutered and I couldn’t agree more. Disturbing and wild to put it into 2 words.…

Complex with a sporadic plot line (in a good way). The animations were beautiful gorgeous. I refuse to believe that Robert Pattinson plays the voice of the heron, I don’t care what anyone says. Can we talk about those cute little floating white things for a second? I’m obsessed and I need one of my own. Also why did his dad marry his mom’s sister? That’s pretty crazy. This movie was confusing but I was just along for the ride. Not my favorite Studio Ghibli but I still loved it.

    Under the Silver Lake

Shocking, confusing, funny? The words “wait what” escaped my lips every 5 minutes or so. Andrew Garfield is voyeuristic and smelly. Lots of boobs, lots of butts. I didn’t think they could tie it all together at the end, but they (kind of) did (partially). As always with A24 the cinematography was great.
