The fact that so many people love this -completely apolitical- movie says so much more about the political situation of the country than the movie itself.
This was a movie talking about one of the most brutal dictatorships and it did it in the most blant and discreet way possible. It could be talking about any dictatorship in any other part of the world and it would not make any difference. The only abstract point that the movie made on…
The feminist story that would empower your average upper-middle class, middle aged neighbor. wtf Italy, this sucks.
Also, ugly and kitsch at best, painfully cringe most of the time. This is bad cinema.
