Rewatch time, and its spot in my top 4 is reaffirmed. Got to show it to my dad and rewatch with my mom. This time I was struck by how men take advantage of girls’/womens’ forced maturity. Like shawty was just trying to make it through highschool and be pregnant, she wasn’t looking to move into your stupid little loft. Also Leah, Juno’s best friend, is such an underrated and excellent character.

It was fine, just not my cup of tea. I thought it was interesting and the end was fun, but it just didn’t keep me entirely captivated. I feel like there wasn’t a ton of buy in, and I just didn’t care what happened all that much.

Okay 3rd time was the charm. I appreciated it much more this time. I think when I’m not digging for it to be a life altering or mind boggling watch, it’s so much more enjoyable and powerful. Any scene with an old lady will undoubtedly make me cry. Intergenerational female connection just gets me I guess.
