Evil dead rise starts out STRONG and keeps it going the entire time. I haven’t seen a lot of actually scary movies come out recently, but this one genuinely had its scary moments. this movie came out when i was 12 and the trailer for it is vividly engrained in my brain. the trailer literally terrified me and i would hide under the blankets whenever it came on. i finally got enough courage to actually watch the movie. and let me tell you the movie i had in my had was way scarier than the actual movie. it was honestly disappointing that it wasn't actually this incredibly terrifying movie. it was pretty much just a mediocre gore-fest.
