  The love people have for this film is astounding to me. Maybe it was a different time back then? I like a shitty romcom sometimes but Bridget is an extremely unlikable protagonist. Not a bright woman lead and she MUST have a man to function in life. The men in her love triangle are either insufferable or emotionally unavailable. She must try to pick the lesser of two evils when she can... drop both and focus on herself. Also, the fat shaming. I'm probably looking at this all too deep, but come on. Y'all, I was SHOCKED to learn the director's a female.
