In a cinematic world slowly being overrun by the same toothless, unoriginal, ironic “eat the rich” satire slop, it’s so magical to see Bong Joon-Ho absolutely smash the tonal balance between love of humanity and hatred of its most inhumane systems. Maybe a bit unwieldy, particularly at the end, but so truly has the It Factor that it’s easy to forgive its shortcomings. It’s an absolutely absurd movie for absolutely absurd times (tw: red baseball caps).
Robert Pattinson I don’t think I’ve ever spoken ill of you but I surely will not ever after this! Truly delightful performance.

Listen, I have to watch a middling queer teen romcom every so often to heal or I’ll wither away and die. This one was exactly what I needed for that purpose and thankfully I found it mostly endearing. It just tickles me that Josh O’Connor was so instrumental to this getting made, good for you king!
