Really enjoyed this warts-and-all contemporary portrait of adolescence through the eyes of and eighth grade girl. I had heard nothing but good things about this film, including that it is seriously underrated, and now I can say that all that is true. This isn’t a “kids movie,” it’s a “family movie,” meaning this was written for adults too. The humor is very strong and I caught myself genuinely laughing throughout.
