Janet Planet 2023
One of the most beautiful films I've ever seen. It was so immersive I felt like I'd lived it. So many knock-out lines. The "don't kid yourself, janet" scene was phenomenal. Kept bursting into tears can't even explain why. Whole film felt like late August.

The Last Showgirl 2024
This felt like something I dreamt up whilst taking one of those weird guilt-ridden accidental three hour naps. Impressive in the sense the acting was horrific and the camera work at times was migraine-inducing but it still somehow made me tear up. Not a fantastically made film and yet very very moving somehow. Will make u panic if you're a woman. Big on self-commodification. Editing was really weird. Writing was incredibly lacking. Daughter was a pain in the hole. And yet it still really resonated. Left feeling an overwhelming urgency to make a linked-in account. Las Vegas scares me.

The Brutalist 2024
Score, visuals and wardrobe were beautiful but this was a 3.5 hour ode to handjobs and concrete. Takes more than adrien brody chainsmoking in a trenchcoat to make a masterpiece
