Millennium Actress 2001
This is a really sweet movie. It’s interesting to see how differently some people interpret the message. The more optimistic take, which I had, is that life is about the journey rather than the destination. I’ve seen some people say it’s more about how life is short and can be easily wasted, so to not get caught up in unrealistic dreams and ideas, which I feel is a bit pessimistic. The movie feels overall bittersweet though, because I guess you can only truly appreciate your journey in retrospect.

Mean Girls 2004
This movie never gets old I swear! I love the balance between humor and the relatable glimpse into teenage life - specifically from a female-centric perspective which is rare. It captures something about being a teenage girl in American culture which I haven’t seen in any other movie before. It never takes itself too seriously either, which makes it so easy to revisit I think. Such a great, funny, nostalgic movie! Also, love Tina fey
