The music was so much less than I was expecting and felt to pop and not earthy and grounded as the first movie. The plot was fine, but I thought it was weird that for being seafarers and that being how the first movie ended and then they were back in the island to be kinda weird and I didn’t buy it.

A very open look into performance art that is so raw and connected to one’s self. This movie had such an impact on me and I think anyone that called themself an artist has something to gain from watching it. It does contain nudity and self-harm aspects, however that is the way in which she portrays her art.

Watched this movie for the second time and it hit me so much more the second time. The cinematography and the way the color saturation shifts depending on where you are, to the message that this movie has for people, especially women, is phenomenal. The acting is so real and believable from Margot Robbie and America Ferrera and a look into the female experience. This movie is so seamlessly able to take you from laughing to crying, and brings the drama to the comedy and the comedy to the drama. One of my all times favorites and I think it will be for a long time.
