Okay maybe my review is skewed by the fact that me and Stephen had the theater to ourselves and when that happens we usually reek havoc but nonetheless!!! I had such a great time watching this movie, the original music was great, the acting was really good by some and meh by others but it didn’t really bother me too much because it’s a movie based on a children’s book. I just love a movie that lets you sit back…

Really phenomenal acting by everyone in the cast. I really liked how the story focused on the two main characters as individuals and didn’t focus on them being a couple. I really hate that if you’re a man and a woman in a movie you automatically have to be in a relationship so I thought that was different and cool. A24 seems to be doing a great job.

Went to the NYC premier screening of this and it was such a cool experience to see some of the cast before and hear them speak in a q&a. As for the movie I really enjoyed this, it was thrilling and had twists and turns that I didn’t expect. I gasped multiple times!!! Florence Pugh was fucking incredible, best I’ve seen her act. It clearly showed a strong female presence and female power, to me at least towards the end…

This movie pleasantly surprised me. Austin Butler as Elvis was 100% authentic, I never had to question if I believed what he was doing. That goes for Tom Hanks as well, seeing him play such a different character was refreshing. I liked the current music mixed with all of the Elvis classics that they played throughout the film, I liked it better than when they did it in The Great Gatsby with Leo. I think it just worked in this…
