Started out thinking this was going to be a version of Suspiria set in a Ukranian convent, but ended up with some different turns. I was impressed with the practical effects. Heavily Lovecraftian/Machen-inspired. Evocative of Jean Rollin with some beautiful imagery. Slow-moving, but effective in capturing the feeling of being trapped inside of a nightmare.
