    As an avid fan of art that looks clearly inspired by psychedelic visuals, I can say that I have seen a lot of animation that is similar to this one. However, there was something about the combination of a sweet, unassuming, almost hypnotic song with the colorful, transformative visuals and the nihilistic message of this that really struck a chord with me. I also really enjoyed how the people in it look like poorly drawn manga people from a twelve year old's sketchbook. It didn't make sense to me, and I love Vince Collins for that.

    I especially enjoyed the character development in E. Edward? (not sure how to write out only his first name) and Lee as they come to terms with their sexualities and learn about themselves throughout the course of the movie. There were certain scenes in this movie that were incredibly clever and unexpected, which made the plot progress in a way that felt natural yet still keep me intrigued until the end of the film.     While the beginning of this movie had me intrigued and excited by the characters and the storyline, as it went on I found the plot and characters themselves to be very stereotypical and predictable. Everything down to the song choice for the closing credits felt stale. Ultimately, it left me a bit dissapointed, however I can walk away from this viewing experience with a new appreciation for movies made for children that feel fresh and innovative. It feels as though this could have been pushed much further outside the box and the interesting character design was not enough to keep me engaged.
