Don't expect a western. This movie is a romance, in the contexte of the civil war. A story that's been told many times already. The context doesn't add anything to the movie. The deconstructed chronology doesn't add anything to the movie. It's badly paced and boring. The director is the second protagonist. This movie just fills his ego, and the age gap in the couple depicted is deranged. Beautiful costumes and scenography though. But anyone who has this type of money can do the same. The colorimetry is lackluster.
