Elvis 2022
Austin Butler is superb in this role. The larger than life vibes of Baz Luhrmann should have worked, and almost did, but the editing and pacing made the film feel like one big montage instead of a peak into the life of Elvis. I could not get at all invested in characters or their relationships when I should have. And I almost felt like I was getting whiplash with how fast paced it was. Needed more intimate moments between characters so I could have actually cared.
