Son of Saul 2015
horribly depressing. it's interesting to see a holocaust movie from the perspective of the sonderkommandos, an unfortunately underrepresented group, likely due to the accusations of complicity, which feels unreasonable to me. I don't think there are no positives to be found here. some may see the protagonists actions as selfish, but I just see someone trying to hold onto any shred of humanity and dignity that he can find, albeit, undoubtedly deep in the throes of a deteriorating mental health.

Detainment 2018
I thought I was about to watch a documentary lol. I know this story well and I enjoy true crime but this didn't really add anything or say anything worthwhile, so essentially just felt a bit much.
I don't mind some dramatisations within documentary style storytelling, but this just feels like it was feeding on people's morbid curiosity for views.Translated from by

Conclave 2024
loved watching the tea unfold. when Ralph finally says "omg noo don't tell me anything I'm meant to be sequestered rn, I'm super cereal" (direct quote, obvs) it's so funny, like babe you been snoopin all in errybodys business since they got here, who u kidding? he lives for the drama and I'm here for it. totally gasped when I guessed what the final twist was just before it was revealed. also, vape naysh bruh.

Bridget Jones's Diary 2001
a classic tbh. the first two movies were really good. not sure if this feels more relatable now that I'm almost thirty. like, kinda? so much smoking. I guess it was cheaper back then. had me craving ciggies for sure. sick soundtrack as well. she had some cute girl power moments and her friend group is vibes. at the end of the day, all we really want is for someone to like us, very much, just as we are.
