One of my cozy films that also just hurts so much. It’s hopecore that doesn’t annoy me. People are seeing each other at their worst, at lovely moments in time, those boring every day moments.
And they do their best to keep their hearts open. Even if it doesn’t always work. Because what else matters?
The beauty of humanity is seeing ugly things and showing up again anyway. You may take another punch, or you may get to see an act of love or kindness that makes everything worth it.

I laughed through a lot of this film while also being scared for the eventual come down. You know that while fun and silly, things are empty. Ivan was never going to be more than a weak man child. Funny throughout (love you Mark Eydelshteyn) but incapable of any depth or real care for Ani.
