  Visually a beautiful film, but couldn’t get over how Betty was treated as an object of desire serving only as a role and not a person. Breatrice Dalles performance surpasses this though, and it was an enjoyable (long) watch, but as far as the dismissive messaging about severe mental illness goes I was not a fan.
  Towards the end of the film when Betty gets institutionalized and receives medical treatment for her illness (bipolar? Psychosis?) the main character views this…
