The Sweet East 2023
I didn’t particularly like the storyline, and the political commentary was either in your face or with a weak portrayal; however, this film evoked some intense emotions while watching it which to me is one of the most important aspects of film. 4 stars.

The Wedding Banquet 1993
The cultural mixture in this movie is insanely good. Ang Lee portrays the East meets West very well. I’ve seen many reviews being angry about the rape, and yes it angers me too, but I think the film perfectly shows how difficult and fucked up the situation is being treating the rape as if it’s nothing. It’s a painful movie to watch, but a necessary story to tell.

BARDO, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths 2022
Absolutely amazing immersive film. It felt like a new way of cinema it was such a unique experience. Towards the end the storyline got a bit week and some loose ends could have been tied up better; however, overall this is a cinematic masterpiece.
