Nina deserves 5 stars but the documentary only 2.5 and those 2.5 are for the footage unseen before this documentary. It could be the deepened lens of understanding we hold on complex trauma and abuse as a society now but this was a miss for me. The way they allowed her abuser to openly discuss and validate his reasons for abuse without any justice for her- then painted her out to be the villain after so much of her own…
