This movie was so beautiful. I've anticipated it since I saw the teasers; the color story and cinematography completed the gothic romantic aesthetic. I would say it's the best version of Nosferatu outside of the original. The way Robert Eggers merged Mina and Lucy from the original Bramstokers into one, was a risky but smart move. Loved the plot and the writing, I was surprised because I thought that the trailer basically told me all I needed to know. But seeing the way he thought as a sociopath or psychopath, I'm not sure which one, was so eerie and captivating at the same time. My favorite character was the singer, jumping out the role of being the performer in the concert to having one of the most important roles in stopping "the butcher". She constantly has the upper hand with him because she's just that good and cvnt.
The plot of the movie was very interesting and well thought out, but the writing could have used some work. I hate (but sometimes love) when the protagonist does something so stupid and without thought, and I feel like she does that a lot throughout this movie. It was fairly scary but not anything that left me paranoid after the fact.
