Ne Zha 2 2025
This was INSANELY good. Feels like an action-packed male version of Encanto/Turning Red. Felt a little long, and some on-the nose dialogue points.
Probably one of the best Animated films I’ve ever seen. The story and script was super great, amazing themes and great development of characters. Lots of well timed comedic moments as well.
The animation quality was also so smooth and crisp, the fights were super well choreographed and weighty.
Overall fantastic film, definitely go see if you like animation or just good movies in general.

Very interesting premise, but it feels like it was written by a certified punk hater lol.
Would’ve been nice if we got a more full account of what true anarchy could achieve (mutual aid, guerrilla gardening, etc) and how Steve failed to meet that, instead of being played for a joke from the beginning.

I thought this was super well done. I really liked the films commentary on masculinity, and the journey we get to see Kevin go through. Efron’s performance was really good, as was the rest of the cast. That said, I wish it could have went a little further in tying everything together.
