Fahrenheit 451 2018
In comparison to the book. This adaption is odd. Misses the mark on many a things. Also they take the plot in a different direction. But overall it falls flat.
Like the book (to an extent) the 2nd and 3rd acts just blow past. Montag’s switch comes of nowhere even more starkly
Great visuals though, and the acting isn’t the worse

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes 2024
Visually. This was a great film. Felt immersed in the world and the juxtaposition of relics from the old times (buildings, skyscrapers) and the growing bushes and vegetation.
The first half of this film shines. Its nice to see the Eagle clan, their lore, how they interact with the past. Especially when other apes get involved such as Raka its nice to hear the legacy of Caesar
I felt the film lost pacing and overall direction in the second half.…

A violent revenge thriller with excellent South Asian/Indian themes. Really enjoyed the fight scenes and the revenge plot.
Nice to see social commentary on the relationship with marginalised groups in india
