  Dug this a lot! 

  I was a big fan of HAUNT. it’s always great to see directors continue to level up in meaningful ways. Loved the cinematography and production design and there were a few queasy moments that felt extremely inspired.

  One moment midway through that is genuinely disturbing/distressing. It’s a total record scratch moment that makes you feel like this movie is going to suddenly become a bizarre mashup of a Harmony Korine and Rob Zombie movie but then it just goes back to the cliche’d tone of before. 

  Cool score but it doesn’t really fit all that well. Just a cool synth score for the sake of a cool synth score.

  Racist, misogynistic, transphobic. Deeply so and unjustifiably so. 

  It’s an interesting film beneath these odious attributes and De Palma remains a master but yeah, this movie reeks. 

  Watch Tenebrae instead.
