This was a little slow to begin, but the second half of the movie got really good. The struggle between love and ambition, and the sacrifices we make to define our story. Andrew Garfield does not get the grindset, but boy do I want him to be there for me when I make it.

The Sixth Sense 1999
I've heard a lot of people make fun of his work but as I've watched them I've learned to love Shyamalan's movies. I really admire the angle he approaches well established genres typically underscored by immense humanity. The thesis of this movie could not be any clearer yet it continues to unfold beautifully and unexpectedly. There is no greater evil, rather a matter of perspective and your willingness to open your heart and understand.

I love the slight comedic tangents the dialogue takes in this movie and there are some really beautiful shots. I love that the aliens, despite being the catalyst that drive the story forward, take a backseat in the movie in terms of screen presence. The characters are really compelling. This movie strikes a balance between being really suspensful and really funny.
