this is a guilty pleasure movie. I’ve never watched the original, and tbh I don’t want to bc I fear I wouldn’t like it as much. you simply can’t get redneck Miles Teller anywhere else. also when that country line dance scene comes on, I’m suddenly dancing to the beat of my oppressors. the premise of the movie is kinda goofy but damn is it entertaining. God bless America and God bless the power of dance.

Open Season 2006
I was so high watching this. I wish I could share what I thought about the plot but I can’t bc I don’t remember anything. I was tripped up. I think the grocery scene did it for me. I felt like I was Boog and Elliott in that moment. I watched this bc Boog was my roommate’s hear me out and I see it. I’m hearing her out.

Step Up 2: The Streets 2008
I can always rely on Jon Chu to direct quality movies. Jon Chu? more like Jon ATE. my fav Step Up movie for sure. this basically set the tone for the rest of the movies in the franchise. it’s just so hype. also MOOSE?! that’s my man right there. he was my sexual awakening. him dancing on those stairs to “the way I are” by timbaland got me weak in the knees.
