only giving it 4 stars because i recognise the impact this had on the film industry and how important it was to the time period that it was filmed in, but overall it was just alright. i wish i liked it more, but honestly i felt like ricks and ilisa’s relationship felt a little bit flat and was frankly boring. sure, ilisa did shed some tears, but overall it felt too anti-climactic.

The Pursuit of Happyness 2006
I just love the parallel of him hugging his son in church, praying that life would allow him to have happiness, and then, when he finally gets the job, the first thing he does is run to his son at daycare and hug him like he did before, but with that newfound happiness.

dude, you ever watch a movie and think, “damn i wish i watched this with that one person.” i wish i watched it with riley nolan, cuz then we could piss our pants together from laughter.
but anyway, this movie got SUPER weird towards the end, but like, its pure comedy shit gold.
especially that one polaroid of that one guy’s carrot dick with a caption of “i know!” honorable mention goes to ray for being so obviously gay.
