Didn’t know the floor was this low for a Bong Joon Ho film. Everything is uneven, the performances, Pattinson and Naomi Ackie are good. Pattinson is able to play both versions of Mickey with enough subtleties that you can tell the difference between them without visual cues and he has some great physicality especially to 17. Mark Ruffalo at a certain point is just doing a trump impersonation the way you would see on SNL. The pacing is very uneven…

There’s so much here that works we well that kind of gets overshadowed by what doesn’t.
