First off, Adam Sandler. HOLY S***! Being an 18 year old, my prior knowledge of him included Grown Ups and disposable comedies. Boy does he flip the script here. The truth is that you’re not getting a psychologically driven narrative at the level of Studio A24. However, you’re getting a film that is just as scary and one that still holds up 13 years after its release.
Essentially, a couple decides to set up cameras in their bedroom in hope of uncovering an evil entity they think is terrorizing them. It’s loosely based on a true story which makes it even more terrifying.
