Brilliantly shot, brilliantly lit, truly an adventure. Jeff goldblum oozing with sex appeal. Almost every line is written to be quoted which is honestly just fun as hell. Didn’t realize Samuel L Jackson was in it so that was a fun surprise too. Ariana Richards who plays Lex is a BRILLIANT actor! Same with Laura Dern

I still think this film is just brilliantly directed and especially for a first feature film! This movie is so beautiful in such an off-kilter way that it completely draws me in. The totally robotic dialogue compliments the totally surreal directorial choices from lighting to blocking to framing and really allows one to focus purely on the absurdity of basically everything that happens. Honestly about as solid as a biopic can get! Leaves a nice space for interpretation by not telling you too much how people feel but just giving space for the unbelievable acting performances by Timmy and Elle to shine! It sounded pretty damn good too for letting Timmy and the Joan Baez actor sing all themselves! Makes Bob look like a complete asshole so all I can assume is it’s a fairly honest depiction lol
