  Really nothing represents the late 2000s twee era like this. Incredibly nostalgic and often insufferable but solid nonetheless

  An ultimately shallow movie centered around painfully on the nose symbolism of toxic masculinity. Any intriguing imagery rendered hollow due to the lack of emotional core and the fact that the female protagonist is somehow even more underwritten than the cartoonish male antagonists.

  For a movie ostensibly criticising male agression/microagressiom, the unfortunate fact remains that the female main character is little more than a blank vessel of trauma and offers little to rally for.

  All pulp, no juice.
