not a tale of obsession but of lure. especially in the castle with thomas, count orlok repeatedly vanishes out of a desire to be found. major diva. unsure if he requires summoning (come to me) or if it’s just a formality (anna) (kids) (rats) but he does seem to need initial consent (???) and human intervention to accomplish anything. he feeds from their attention. love to see dafoe getting his check and lily literally tore. then rave she must!

the most frustrating part of this was the youtube video not progressing while playing

nothing new for sure but why did everyone want me to hate this? plot was undercooked and part of why it kept me guessing was because of the plot holes, but i had fun and the title card went crazy

the first chunk of this was really fun, building out the characters and the world—rob is sooo crazy in this role and steven yeun plays such a good whiny evil friend. admittedly i get a bit lost comedically when the satire turns slapstick and hits so on the nose. it morphed into more of a don’t look up vibe than what i was seated for, leaning further into its absurdity (creepers and sauce?) where remaining on duplicates and dictatorship / swapping some corny dialogue with more tender moments could have made this more impactful as a commentary for me.
