  People have miscategorized this film as a “romantic drama.” That’s not how I saw it at all. I would call it a “surreal nightmare comedy.” The only things I liked about the film was Nicolas Roeg’s cinematography and the psychedelic music from Big Brother and the Holding Company and The Grateful Dead.

  ★★★½ Rewatched 21 Mar 2020

  I first watched it 18. Didn’t like it much. Rewatched recently and I like it better. What did I like? My favorite actor Pacino’s performance, Oliver Stone’s writing, and Giorgio Moroder’s music.
