At time funny but mostly tragic.
My biggest question is whether it’s beautiful black and white cinematography helps or hurts the audiences view m of search for his bike. At times when he thought he saw it, we couldn’t tell as they all appeared the same on film. Had it been colorized, his red bike would have stuck out. At the same time, it makes all the bikes constantly on screen mesh together even more, adding to the futility of their search.
The character of his son was really great.
