In a word, memorable.
I despise racially charged films, but the execution here, the confidence to not back away, makes this one of the best films I've seen this year. Your characters are fleshed out and unapologetic; your setting is beautiful and bold. This is at least a one time most watch, and I would recommend it to anyone.

It's all there,
It just doesn't use it's direction or potential to the degree that I needed it to which made it nearly frustrating to watch. At it's best it is a capturing video biography- at its worst it's a waste of a few hours.
My biggest real issue though, is Freddie's redemption- I couldn't handle the fact that his life, which was so full of boundary pushing, was met by a film that is the bar. Your third act…
