I… didn’t love it.
Visually, it was stunning, but that’s the only thing it had going for it. The pacing was terrible, the writing was clunky and the direction was worse, and everything that tried to be spooky just made me laugh.
Gothic horror can be great fun, but this one just didn’t land for me.

I honestly wasn’t expecting this to slay so hard! A cast of (super compelling) characters traversing the Wild West by postal route - what more could you want?

After reading Bethany Brookshire’s Pests, The Curse of the Were-Rabit feels like an insightful commentary on the ways in which human behaviours render an animal a pest. It riffs off of so many iconic moments in classic creature features, and brings plenty of its own magic to the table to boot!!
