Very very interesting film. Was very cool to see it introduced by Georgia alongside A Brief History of Circles.
I will always be impressed by films that conveys the inner worlds of their characters so well on screen. I have definitely been Max punching my brain in the bathroom sink.

Didn’t know anything about this going in really - was very pleasantly surprised by the ‘cutting’ class analysis. Quite a depressing reflection on how traditions can oppress us but with some sick sword fights so can’t ask for much more.

Liked it a lot more than I thought ! Had a lot of what I loved about the first Alien film done pretty well. The body horror and the claustrophobia of the ship very well done. The physical effects and performance worked well for this.

Some of the world building was great some of it felt a bit lazy with some random sci-fi tropes thrown in.

Overall I think the first Alien did a lot of what this film did…

Can see why it’s so influential. Feels like the cinema equivalent of a Clarice Lispector novel the way the interior world of the central character is conveyed. I am glad I watched the original  version with no sound , and not the countless people putting their own soundtrack over it, it did add to it.
