  now this is a long movie i can get into.

  some may say too long but i could have spent another hour in this world. i love this version of gotham and this portrayal of batman so much. the hardest line to toe in comic movies is finding the balance between realism and the inherent goofiness of superheros, but it's done really damn well here. it's a grounded, well realized world but never loses the melodrama and awkwardness of my fav batman comics.

  why the fuck is this nearly 3 hours long

  mostly awful but some seriously rad destruction scenes and enough goofy to be worth watching when you have no idea what else to do with your time

  seriously the LA destruction scene is so cool
