Wow from the get go the title of the film is already loaded with so much, and this continues for the rest of the film. Every conversation, every monologue, every moment feels weighty and infused with deeper meaning.
The tour of Poland and eventual lead up to a concentration camp feels like a perfect setting for the main theme of the film “Does my suffering matter and should others care/be burdened by it?” Should the only suffering that we should…

Icl the film is very dated in script and attitudes towards pretty much anything progressive in the last however many years but one quote floored me at the end which sums up how I’m feeling at the minute:
“I guess you must not have been looking”
And that’s what this film was building up to: for a pay off of a character that’s in it for maybe two lines? But we healing and we move and it’s like the rest…
